A conference evaluation is a process of assessing the utility and/or effectiveness of a conference. A conference evaluation measures the success of a conference/event by collecting feedback from attendees and analyzing the data. The goal of a conference evaluation is to determine whether the conference/event met its objectives and to identify areas for improvement in future conferences. 

A satisfaction assessment is a process of measuring how satisfied clients/consumers/stakeholders are with a product, service, or experience. Satisfaction assessments collect feedback from clients and analyze the data to determine whether the product, service, or experience met their needs and expectations. 

A needs assessment is a process for determining the “gaps” between current and desired outcomes. The needs assessment is a foundational component of an effective strategic planning process, providing a clear and concise road map toward capacity development. 

An outcome evaluation measures a program's impact on the target population by carefully reviewing the delivery of output objectives and their associated short-term, intermediate, and long-term outcomes.  A strong outcome evaluation is able to demonstrate the worth of a program or intervention. 

 Focus group testing explores opinions regard a product, service, concept, social marketing, or other media. 

A formative evaluation is an evaluation that occurs during the development of a program. It is used to improve and enhance the program as it is developing or occurring. Data from formative evaluations can be used to make changes in program delivery or methods.
